Abstract
Megaloblastic anemia is a rare cause of pyrexia. We report the case of a patient who presented with fever, anemia and thrombocytopenia. After ruling out infective, inflammatory and endocrine causes and correlating with vitamin B
12 and folic acid levels, the cause was attributed to megaloblastic anemia. The patient responded well to the treatment with vitamin B
12 and folic acid supplementation.
